Interment pas des deux

Carter Playing “Taps” and Grampa’s memorial

Carter Playing “Taps” and Grampa’s memorial

We're in Montreal today, having just interred my grandfather into the most beautiful cemetery at the top of Mont Royal. Carter played taps beautifully as the ashes were lowered into the ground. It was a hard swallow moment. Tomorrow we head to Mt. Tremblant for a family reunion and celebration of life where family will gather in a way that they have not gathered at any other time that any of us can remember. In a reading with Lisa Fox, my grandfather requested yellow balloons and carrot cake. My duty awaits.Alas, we had another interment in the family this week, but I'll let my friend Deirdre tell you about that...The blog is not forgotten, if neglected. Summer time...
